Phil Mucci's FAR OUT to play SLAMDANCE
After receiving an Honorable Mention at Slamdance last year for his multi-award winning short, THE LISTENING DEAD (recently named the Best Horror Short of 2007 by Canada's RUE MORGUE magazine), write/director Phil Mucci returns to Park City with his latest short, FAR OUT. A delirious throwback to the low-budget gems of the late sixties and early seventies, FAR OUT is an intoxicating cinematic whip-it, full of the sights and sounds one can only experience while under the influence of mind-altering substances! At it's first screening at OFC's Worldwide Short Film Festival in Toronto, FAR OUT was immediately purchased by The Sundance Channel. Come and find out why!
"Phil Mucci’s Far Out confirms the promise of his freshman offering, the revisionist silent horror short The Listening Dead
, in a big, big way. Far Out stakes a claim as one of the most impressive genre shorts from a U.S. filmmaker in some time, and positions Mucci as someone to watch, very closely."
-Twitch
"It's super fun, twisted, and gorgeously crafted."
-Dread Central
FAR OUT screens Saturday, January 19th at 8:30 pm, and Wednesday, Jan. 23rd at 10 am, at the Treasure Mountain Inn, 255 Main St.

CITY OF CRANES
CITY OF CRANES takes the viewer on a journey high up in the sky, to
look at the world through the eyes and words of crane drivers. A visual
and poetic celebration of the drivers’ lives, it is a must-see for
anybody who has ever wondered what it is like to work hundreds of feet
above the ground, only surrounded by a small metal cage.
After its North American premiere at Slamdance, the film will be also
showing, amongst others, at Cinequest, True/False and Big Sky
Documentary Film Festival. We are also currently working on a longer
version of the film, with the support of the Channel 4 British
Documentary Film Foundation, which will be released later this year.
