Tribeca Film Festival 2007

Another Award winning performance by the whoel ensemble, Nacido y Criado (Born and Breed)
Contrasting as in the beautiful life in the Buenos Aires to Santiago’s eventual life in Patagonia.

This is life portayed in Heaven and Hell.

Beautiful Patagonia is the backdrop for this film’s Hades. Brtually cold and lonely and secluded place where there is only one plane out a month… Worse of all Santiago works in that Airport….

But because of this harsh environment Santiago is pitted against rough and tumble co workers who alcohol and drugs are their only form of entertainment. Even the local whore has to be shared.

Santiago ( Guillermo Pfening) has to live life in seclusion knowing he has done something bad in his past. He can not live with the guilt…. Having to face the scars on his body… he has a more challenging predicament of facing a scarred psyche where in he drowns in his work and alcohol. He is always sick to his stomach, hurlingh every night, nightmares a usual fare.

Why can’t he face reality which is still in the City, why remain feeling a victim, or is it victimizer?

Spiralling down into oblivion stories seem to be a Festival favorite but id it portrayed by a beautiful ensemble lead by Guillermo Pfening (who should definitely cross over to America) that can act to boot. This is worth your time and money. If great performance, beautiful people, hot and heavy sex, sympathetic characters , some Y Tu Mama Tambien and Broke Back moments will not excite you to watch this film… watch it to just enjoy the views of virginal Patagonia…..

Nacido y Criado (Born and Breed) is a MUST SEE!
